Mbarara City secured a hard fought point away to Onduparaka FC in the game played at Green Light stadium on Friday.

The Ankole Lions despite finishing the game with nine men after Karim Ndugwa and goalkeeper Ali Kimera were sent off remained resilient to walk away with a point.

The game also marked Charles Livingstone Mbabazi’s return to Arua for the first time. Currently the head coach at Mbarara City FC, Mbabazi was relieved of his duties towards the end of last season.

Ndugwa who is on loan at Mbarara City from Wakiso Giants was also playing against his former masters but his return at Green Light stadium ended on a sad note.

The striker was shown marching orders by the day’s referee Mashood Ssali after s nasty challenge on Viane Ssekajugo in 63rd minute.

Deep into stoppage time, goalkeeper Kimera was also sent off after a second bookable offence on Ssekajugo.
