Mbarara City FC will play their first game at Kakyeka stadium this season on Tuesday against BUL FC after receiving clearance from FUFA to use the ground.

It should be noted that FUFA through its licensing committee had deemed Kakyeka not fit to host league games because of various reasons and hence the Ankole Lions sought relief at Kavumba Recreation Centre as their temporary home ground.

The target therefore as they return to their fortress will be to get maximum points against visiting BUL FC.Star player Paul Mucurezi believes his team has enough in the tank to go out and seal victory.

” It is important that we win this game for our fans because we shall be playing at home for the first time. Therefore as players, we are focused and committed to make sure we get all three points.” He said.

Livingstone Mbabazi’s charges have had a good run in their last three games collecting seven out of the possible nine points. They drew against KCCA FC before beating SC Villa and Paidha Black Angels.

On the other hand, BUL FC have had a dream start to the season under coach Peter Onen. This is their best start since winning promotion in 2010.

They however make the trip to Mbarara missing some of their key players including energetic forward Hamisi Tibita.

Defenders Musa Malunda and Musa Walangalira are also ruled out of the game due to injuries.

The last visit to Kakyeka stadium ended on a disappointing note for BUL FC losing to Mbarara City FC 2-1. The reverse fixture in Jinja ended goalless.

Mbarara City FC is 5th on the log with 13 points while BUL FC is 4th, one point ahead of the Ankole Lions.
