UPL: Kisala Sends a Wakeup Call to His Players

Wakiso Giants head coach Kefa Kisala has urged  his players to bounce back to winning ways as they prepare to host Mbarara City at Betway Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on Saturday October 5th in the league game.

The Purple Sharks enters this game after losing 1-0 against Onduparaka in their previous game and therefore Kisala aims at collecting maximum points against The Ankole Lions.

“We can’t afford dropping points,” said Kisala  said.

“We have been unlucky in the previous games as we got results that our performance never deserved but we must react,” he added.

Wakiso Giants will be without their custodian and skipper Yasin Mugabi who is sidelined due to injury, Yasin Mugume and Aggrey Madoi will not also be able to play due to injuries.

The three were joined by Muwadda Mawejje who was injured during their encounter against Onduparaka.

This will be the first time for Wakiso Giants and Mbarara City to meet in the league, the two sides are separated by one point and one position on the 16-team log.

Mbarara City are seventh with eight points and while Wakiso Giants are eighth with seven points.

Meanwhile, Mbarara City enters this game boosted after their 2-1 win against Busoga United, they will rely more on the services of Paul Mucureezi, Hilary Mukundane and Brian Aheebwa to confront the league’s newcomers.
