After being knocked out of the CAF Champions League, KCCA FC is eager to bounce back with a win against Tooro United FC at St Paul’s Seminary Grounds on Wednesday evening.
The Kasasiro boys have played two games in the Uganda Premier League this season and have won both games, and they enter this game aiming at getting a third consecutive win.
“The coaches have prepared us quite well. The attitude in camp is good and the team chemistry too. We have put behind all that did not go well last week and want to focus on the task at hand. We want to pick a decent result in Tooro away and keep the belief,” KCCA FC defender John Revita said.
Tooro United on the other hand, will be playing their first game of the season in Fort portal after getting the all-clear sign from FUFA to play their home games from St Paul’s Seminary Grounds.
The last league fixture away between both teams played in Fort portal ended in a one-all draw in a closely contested game played at Buhinga grounds.
KCCA FC are boosted by the eligibility to play of new signings Keziron Kizito, Sam Ssenyonjo and Nigerian John Odumegwu who all traveled with the team to Fort Portal, they could feature in the game.
Teenagers Steven Sserwadda and Anaku Sadat did not travel with the team and have been rested after their heavy involvement in the U-20 CECAFA tournament for over a fortnight.
Mustafa Kizza and Muzamiru Mutyaba did not travel with the team because of medical reasons. The pair is expected to be fit to play the next game while Jurua Hassan, Julius Poloto and Sadam Juma are still out due to injuries.
In the last 14 games played between the two sides, KCCA FC has won eight while Tooro has won three and both teams have shared spoils on three occasions.
