Nyamityobora FC Vs Paidha BA, 4:30 PM
Its a bottom of the table clash as Nyamityobora plays host to fellow strugglers Paidha Black Angels in one of the first games of the new year.
The match day 14 game at Kakyeka Stadium brings together the two worst teams in the league, if we are to go with what the table suggests.
Paidha are bottom of the table with five points from 13 games. The side has managed just one win and two draws. They have lost ten games.
Nyamityobora who are second from down, have collected two points better than their match day 14 points. They have won twice and drawn a game.
The StarTimes Uganda Premier league clash, which promises to be turgid, will at least see the winner enlighten his few chances to beat the drop.
The visitors come into the game with positive vibes after drawing record league winners SC Villa in their last engagement, and the side will hope to build on to that new momentum to defy odds on the road.
Nyamityobora on the other hand, felt hard done by in their last game. They conceded a late Michael Birungi goal, after fighting back, to lose 2-1 against Express FC in a tight game at Wankulukuku.
However, Asaph Mwebaze’s side will feel that this is the game they are supposed to win in front of their home fans. The Abanyakare had won 2-0 against Ndejje (another newly promoted team) in their last home game at Kakyeka.
The team had followed up the Ndejje win with another outstanding display in the Uganda Cup where they ousted minnows Eastland, to reach the round of 32.
This will be the first meeting between the teams in top flight – Uganda Premier League.
Together with Ndejje, Both teams have conceded the most number of goals (23) going into match day 14.
Both sides have only kept two clean sheets this season: Nyamityobora (URA 0-0, Ndejje 2-0). Paidha (Tooro 0-0, Villa 0-0)
Paidha Black Angels has not scored a goal in their last three league games – They drew 0-0 with Villa after previous losses against KCCA (3-0) and Kirinya (1-0).
Paidha has scored the least number of goals, 5. Two against Police and a goal each vs Express FC, Vipers and Onduparaka.
