UPL: Bamweyana Disappointed With Performance As Villa Draw Paidha

SC Villa Coach Douglas Bamweyana was not pleased with his side’s display in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter with Paidha Black Angels on Saturday.

The game played at GreenLight Stadium in Arua, where Paidha are currently hosting their games, ended goalless.

Going into the game, SC Villa who had won their last two games, were confident to pick maximum points against a struggling rock bottom side.

Villa wanted to take advantage of Paidha’s poor form that had seen the Zombo based team lose their last eight games, prior to match day three.

“I am disappointed with both the result and our own performance. We didn’t create enough chances overall,” Bamweyana told ChimpSports, exclusively.

“A couple of players had a bad day at the office. But credit is due to our opponents – I thought they worked so hard, defended with their lives and also deserved something out of the game.”

The coach also blamed the poor conditions of Greenlight Stadium: “The humidity and the hard pitch didn’t help either.”

Villa didn’t create enough scoring chances, with forwards Bashir Mutanda and Pius Wangi leaving the pitch with less to show.
