UPDF Tomahawks’ Henry Okoth is set to join KIU Titans, this website has learnt.
Okoth, 19 is a student at Lubiri SS and will be sitting his UACE Exams later on this year.
It is reported that the player is in talks with one of the officials at KIU Titans to join the Kansanga based University.
With both sides yet to confirm the development, a source notified this website that Okoth will be given a full scholarship, rent plus a renumeration (monthly salary).
However, it should be remembered that the player still has a one year running contract with Baker Kyambadde’s UPDF.
Okoth played 19 games, scored 263 points and 32 assists (most for UPDF), however, his efforts were not enough to save UPDF from going down.
Together with Charging Rhino, UPDF will play in the Division one next season following their demotion (relegation) from the top flight league (NBL).
If the deal materializes, Okoth will join a pool of ‘galacticos’ like Michael Bwanga, Sudi Ulanga, Denis Balungu, Chris Omanye among others at KIU Titans.
