Uganda People’s Defense Force Football Club (UPDF FC), a newly promoted Uganda Premier League side is continuing to beef up it’s roster ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
The Army-side has landed goalkeeper Yusuf Wasswa and striker Brian Kayanja, both joining the Bombo based club signing on two year deals each.
Kayanja joins UPDF FC on a two-year contract but with an option of moving after six months if any team shows interest.
Last season, he featured for Sofapaka FC in the Kenyan Premier League but also had a brief stint with Bright Stars FC.
Goalkeeper Wasswa joins UPDF from Onduparaka where he featured last season and kept 8 clean sheets from 25 matches before the season was abruptly ended in May 2020.
He had played for Masavu FC, Sports Club Villa, Buddo SS and Buddu Ssaza team in the Masaza Cup tournament.
Wasswa had also played at Kisubi United Football Club and Buganda Province in the FUFA Drum Tournament.
Both join already signed players in Isa Mubiru, Juma Ssebaduka, Fred Kayanja, Tony Kyamera, Jesse Kajuba, Simon Mbaziira, Gadafi Gadihno Muhammad, Paul Robin Kabuye, Ivan Kato, Ibrahim Wammanah, James Begisa, Charles Ssebutinde and Ronnie Kisekka.
