But it’s understood he was referring to the police statement issued today about his alleged disappearance.

5:00pm:Leon Ssenyange, a prominent Ugandan sports journalist and rally navigator, has gone missing, sending shockwaves among his family members and friends.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango said Ssenyange, who currently works as a News editor with China Global Television Network (CGTN), can’t be traced.
“We have started investigating the disappearance of Mr. Leon Ssenyange a rally navigator,” said Onyango on Thursday.
“Mr. Ssenyange disappeared yesterday (Thursday) at around 10:30pm,” he added.
Onyango said Ssenyange’s “colleagues left him at Thrones bar in Bugolobi, Kampala going to watch between Barcelona FC and Real Madrid FC.”
Ssenyange drove to the venue with a Toyota Vista brand car registration number UAQ 791R.
Onyango said the matter was reported to Kampala Central Police station by a one Deborah Bwengle under file number SD 18/19/12/2019.
“We appeal to anybody with information about the disappearance of Mr. Ssenyange to pass it in confidence to the nearest police station or ring 0800199088 (toll free),” said Onyango.
Ssenyange, a celebrated journalist started his colorful career by writing for a newspaper (Sunrise) before working as a sports news anchor for NTV.
He also was a footballer with Sports Club Villa before joining motorsport as a rally driver Motional Rally Cross.
He wrote stories for his school magazine during his secondary education at St Henry’s Kitovu Secondary School.
