United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) boss Filippo Brandi who is currently in the country on an official visit will today Tuesday January 30 pay a visit to Impevi settlement in Arua district.
According to a statement from United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Mr Grandi is in Uganda to visit the emergency response following millions of refugees that are flooding Uganda from neighboring countries.
The High Commissioner will later proceed to Kenya where he will launch the Regional Refugee Response Plan on 1st February.
Currently Uganda is hosting over a million south Sudan refugees following political conflicts that broke out early last year
Impevi settlement camp which was established early last year by UNHCR is currently hosting thousands of South Sudanese refugees that have fled to Uganda
