After government through Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Kahinda Otafiire pledged yesterday to address judicial officers’ issues which escalated into a strike, the Judiciary top management has organized to meet the executives of the Uganda Judicial Officers Association (UJOA).
According to the document from the office of Chief Registrar Paul Gadenya Wolimbwa, the meeting is set to take place this morning.
The two sides are expected to discuss more about the minister’s statement and chart a way forward.
Minister Otafiire yesterday expressed government’s commitment to provide the striking judicial officers with cars, security and office equipment.
The government also revealed plans to elevate salaries of all civil servants across all government sectors.
The UJOA strike however, is not expected to end until association members converge again to vote on whether or not to end it.
