The State Minister for Tourism, this http://curiousmediums.com/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php Wildlife and Antiquities Hon. Godffrey Kiwanda has urged Ugandans to embrace domestic tourism which he said is a precursor to drawing foreigners to the country.
“We can’t sell what we don’t know. Ugandans must first love their country before recommending it to foreigners as a tourist destination. It’s unfortunate that several Ugandans haven’t explored the different parts of the country to appreciate its beauty, help http://cstaab.com/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/inc/widgets.php ” Hon. Kiwanda said.
The minister made the remarks while officiating at the Kampala Rolex festival held Sunday August 21st at the Uganda Museum.
Kiwanda noted that tourism is not only for the rich as has been perceived by most Ugandans saying everyone can be tourist.
“You have to begin with what people know and people in Uganda know the rolex. Tourism is not about the rich alone, even low income earners can enjoy a rolex,” he said.
The minister said “a rolex is user friendly, saves time and most of our tourists eat it”, urging the people involved in the business to maintain hygiene.
The event was aimed at promoting and boosting Uganda’s tourism sector through showcasing of the country’s fast foods delicacy “the Rolex”
It was attended by both foreigners and Ugandan nationals who got a chance to taste the different types of rolexes that were being showcased.
Also in attendance were politicians, tour operators, officials from the Uganda Tourism Board among other dignitaries who were treated to a soothing music from the different artistes who performed.
Hon Kiwanda said that the ministry would consider adding the Rolex festival to its calendar as one of the events aimed at promoting the sector in the country.
