Ugandan Winger Nkugwa Joins Mogadishu City Council

Somalia Premier League champions Mogadishu City Council (MCC) Football Club has signed Ugandan left winger, Elkana Nkugwa.

Nkugwa joins the Somali club as a free agent since partying ways with Uganda Premier League side Kyetume at the beginning of the 2019/20 season.

He also previously played for Sports Club Villa and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football Club in the Uganda Premier League.

Nkugwa joins several other Ugandans in Somalia including Shafiq Avemah and Hamdan Nsubuga (Elman Sports Club), Stephen Ategeka and Nicholas Kagaba (Gaadiidka).

Other Ugandans in Somalia are Ivan Lubaale and Vincent Egesa (Midmino) as well as CAF “A” licensed coach Alex Isabirye managing Horseed.

Additionally, Mogadishu City Council unveiled Libyan goalkeeper Hussein Bouchartila and Murad Mahmood as their new tactician going into the 2020/2021 season.

The league defending champions are intensifying preps for the upcoming domestic league earmarked for 28th November 2020 and the CAF Champions League.
