Ugandan film ’94 Terror’ continues to take the world by storm.
Shortly after receiving selections from film festivals in Mexico and France, the 2018 film that was written and directed by prominent film maker Richard Mulindwa has received 17 nominations in the 2019 Golden Movie Awards in Ghana.
The film has been nominated in 12 categories including; overall Golden Movie, Golden Indigenous Movie, Golden Screenplay in Drama, Golden Costume Designer and Golden Soundtrack among others.
This year’s edition of the annual film awards that celebrates the Africa movie industry, will take place on August 24 at Maven pick Ambassador Hotel in Accra Ghana.
Last week, the 2018 celebrated film was selected for the ‘Straight Jacket Guerrilla’ festival in Mexico and the FICMEC Nador International Festival of Common Memory in France.
’94 Terror’ tells a story of Keza, a survivor of the Tutsi and Hutu slaughter that happened in the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
The film highlights her struggles and loss of her beloved family till she crosses River Kagera and enters Uganda.
Written by Richard Mulindwa ,the film stars Ronah Ninsiima, Joan Agaba, Doryn Nabbanja, Rashidah Nalubega and Rhionah Muyimbwaa.
