The body of Flavia Mbabazi Amooti, a Ugandan who has been living United Kingdom and passed on last week has been returned home in Mabaale in Kyenjojo district, ChimpLyf reports. This was confirmed by a one Enock Kiyaga, the Coordinator for the burial arrangements in a released statement.
However, details of what caused Flavia’s death are yet to be disclosed by the family. She will be laid to on Thursday afternoon, 9th August 2018 at her ancestral grounds in Mabaale-Kyenjojo.
The statement circulating on social media reveals that before the body was transported back to Uganda, a funeral service for Flavia was held in the city of Manchester-northwest of England last Saturday 4th August 2018 by the Uganda community in UK together with friends and family.
“Following a funeral service for one of our community member held in Manchester last Saturday 4th August 2018, Ms. FLAVIA MBABAZI AMOOTI has now embarked on her final journey to Uganda and will be laid to rest at her ancestral grounds in Mabaale, Kyenjojo district. During the service, we were also able to pay finance the repatriation and burial of the remains from Manchester to Mabaale in Kyenjojo district from the money collected from the community through a fundraising drive. We also accounted fully for all the funds collected and handed over the balance to the family. Flavia will be laid to rest this Thursday 9th August 2018 @ 12 NOON start” the statement reads partly.
