Ugandan Celebrity Kids Who have Stepped Out of their Parents’ shadows

Being born to rich or celebrity parents often means a life on a sliver plate, let alone following dreams of your parents.

However to some kids, life with or without their parents is a hustle and hard reality.

Despite the added advantage it carries, some kids have hustled their way up, taking a complete drift from their parents’ lifestyles and shadows.

Below is are some of them:

Daniel Kigozi aka Navio

Born to engineer Daniel Serwano Kigozi and physician cum Businesswoman Maggie Kigozi (née Blick), Daniel Kigozi alias Navio is a Ugandan rapper.

Despite his mother’s influential business status, Navio  is now a household name.

Any spoilt rich kid would probably—in Navio’ shoes—opt to sit at home, play video games and feed on his mother’s fortune.

But he didn’t.

The rapper with over four albums recently showed interest in joining politics to represent Rubaga Constituency.

Solomon who is Bobi’s older son after a botched musical career later discovered his talent in acting.

He recently appeared in a short film titled “By ourselves” with his little sister Shalom Namagembe.

Despite the fact that Kampala has always been his father’s right hand man, he has used his status to rise to different levels of life.

He was also recently elected president of the Water and Sanitation Cub at his school.

His career in music ended even before it took off.

Chameleone, in a recent interview said this is because “The industry is so competitive and he got scared.”

However, the 12 year rediscovered himself in swimming. Undeniably, he is a champ now.

He has represented Uganda on many occasions after which he scooped medals.
