Ugandan artists have joined the rest of the world to mourn African legendary musician Oliver Mutukutzi who passed on Wednesday at the age of 66.
The Zimbabwe born singer passed on at Avenues clinic in Harare after a career spanned over four decades with his popular hit ‘Todii,’ making him one of the country’s most successful musician.
Over the years, Oliver kept touring the world and playing shows while living with diabetes.
He last performed at the ‘Nubian Festival’ in South Africa a few weeks ago and at the ‘Jazz fest’ in Kigali in October 2018.
Oliver was well received by Ugandans in 2017 where he performed at Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala.

His death comes exactly a year after South African music legend Hugh Masekela died.
