Uganda Top Soccer Players at the Moment

Soccer is the leading sport in Uganda. The country has five soccer leagues including the Uganda Premier League, Federation of Uganda Football Associations, FUFA Big League, Uganda Cup, and the FUFA Women Elite League. 1.     Hassan Ssenyonjo (Wakiso Giants FC, Midfielder)

Hassan is among the youngest soccer players this season. He played all matches for Wakiso Giants FC in the 2019/2020 season. The player was outstanding even though the Giants had an inconsistent performance.

2.     Douglas Muganga (Busoga United FC, Defender)

Douglas is a defender for Busoga United. He is among the top versatile Ugandan footballers who missed few games this season. The right-back was absent when Busoga United played Express FC, Maroons FC, and Wakiso Giants FC.

3.     Frank Kalanda and Disan Galiwango (Express FC, Forwards)

Dennis moved from Onduparaka FC to BUL FC last year. He has played a crucial role in boosting the defense line of BUL FC. He started 23 games and missed two matches against Busoga United FC and Bright Stars FC.

6.     Samuel Kayongo (Police FC, Midfielder)

Samuel is a combative player who has made many vital interceptions this season. He is disciplined and rarely fouls opponents. The midfielder has played 23 games and missed the match against Tooro United.

7.     Yafessi Mubiru (Tooro United FC, Forward)

Yafessi has scored the most goals for Tooro United FC. He played 20 games for the team and scored six goals. He was absent when Tooro United played Maroons FC and Busoga United FC.

8.     Paul Willa (Vipers FC, Defender)


Paul played 22 matches for Vipers FC. He missed the club’s games against Maroons FC and KCCA FC. The defender is among the key players for the Ugandan team.

9.     Gift Ali (KCCA FC, Midfielder)

Gift is the best footballer in KCAA FC. He makes igniting attacks and covers the defense. The midfielder has played 22 goals for KCAA FC. He missed three matches against Proline FC, Onduparaka FC, and Tooro United FC.

The Uganda Premier League is the most popular soccer tournament in Uganda. It is made up of sixteen teams including Bright Stars, Bul FC, Express FC, Mbarara City FC, Ndejje University FC, Onduparaka FC, and Police FC.
