The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation have signed a memorandum of understanding on Scientific, Technical and Innovation Cooperation in Moscow.
Elioda Tumwesigye, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation signed the memorandum on behalf of the Government of Uganda while Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation signed on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The purpose of the agreement is to contribute to the development and realization of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation.
Within the scope of their competence, both parties will contribute to the development and realization of cooperation in technologies for exploration and development of mineral resources; ecology, research in the field of agriculture, biotechnology, chemistry and research.
Both parties identified areas of cooperation and implementation should begin by July 2019.
