KCCA FC suffered a slump in their charge to retain the league title with a stalemate against relegation threatened Mbarara City FC last week.

The result meant KCCA FC despite playing fewer games than Current leaders SC Villa and second placed Vipers SC lost ground in the title race.

Therefore, the target for the Lugogo based side ahead of their encounter with UPDF FC on Monday will be to  collect maximum points and boost their chances.

They however face a revamped Army side who are fighting hard to push away from the relegation zone and have looked an improved side since the start of the second round losing just one game( 3-0) against Kirinya Jinja SS).

Under the guidance of coach Steven Bogere, UPDF FC will be seeking to frustrate KCCA FC like they did in the reverse fixture in Bombo where they played out a one all draw.

Striker Shaban Muhammad is expected to return after missing out in the game against Mbarara City FC.

Defender Mustapha Kiiza and midfielder Allan Okello who played in the FUFA Drum for West Nile and Lango Provinces respectively will be available for selection.

KCCA FC occupies third position on the log with 40 points while UPDF FC are a distant 12th on 25 points, six above the drop zone.
