The brutal slaying of a Muslim cleric in Uganda’s Capital, more about http://continentalagra.com/wp-admin/includes/ms-admin-filters.php Kampala, viagra 60mg on Sunday night has triggered anger in the country, with leaders calling for “swift” and fruitful” investigations on the part of police.

The Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura, has since attributed the killing to elements of rebel Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) operating clandestinely in Uganda but Muslim leaders on Monday said the law enforcement body must bring to book suspects in the trail of murders that have since put the nation on tenterhooks.

The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje issued a press statement today expressing “concern over the rampant killings of prominent Muslim leaders, clerics, businessmen and other wanainchi in the country.”

Mubajje further “condemned such acts in the strongest terms possible and prayed for sanity and love to prevail among Ugandans.”

Hajji Mustafa Bahiga was gunned down by unknown people along Entebbe road near a mosque in Bwebajja.

This was the latest in a string of cold-blooded murder of Muslim leaders.

Mubajje said, “So far, the killers of Sheikh Yusuf Madangu Imam of Masjid Umar in Bugiri, Shk. Abdul Jawad Imam of Namayemba Mosque (Bugiri), Shk. Abdulkarim Sentamu a prominent preacher at William Street and Nakasero Mosques, Haji Sebaggala Abdulrahman, a security operative and Haji Kiweewa Kigejogejo a prominent businessman with supermarket at Ntinda have not been brought to book.”

He added: “Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Headquarters believes in unity and coexistence with others as required by the teachings of Islam. Bloodshed or revenge in any form is unacceptable because it breeds hatred and more bloodshed.”

The Mufti appealed to all Ugandans to “desist from such extreme and evil ways of solving problems. He has urged Ugandans to address their problems through ways that are in line with God’s teachings. “Those who avoid the greater crimes and shameful deeds and when they are angry, even then forgive” (Holy Quran Surat Ashura 42:37).”

Kayihura today, “we are sure, Hajji Bahiga was killed by ADF.” He did not name suspects or provide more details about the identities of the main suspects in the killing.

The Mufti urged security bodies to “go after the perpetrators of these killings and bring them to justice so that Ugandans, especially Muslims can feel secure in their country.”

The statement concluded: “With the latest killings of Haji Mustafa Bahiga in Kampala and Dr. Abdulkadir Muwaya in Mayuge, the Mufti wants serious action to be taken to catch and punish the killers.”
