The Uganda Lady Cricket Cranes will be looking to put at least one past Zimbabwe when the two meet in the final match of the ongoing Victoria Tri Series at Lugogo Cricket Grounds.
The Cricket Cranes have already lost twice to the same opponent in the first two preliminary games played at the same ground.
Uganda lost to the Southern Africans by 9-wickets on a soggy Tuesday afternoon, three days after the Zimbabweans won by 24-runs in the first game.
The Zimbabweans, under the tutorship of Adam Chifo will be aiming for history by beating the hosts thrice on home ground.
The hosts will be praying for stars like Immaculate Nakisuyi, third best bowler at the tournament with the most runs (70) and Naomi Kayondo, second-best batter with 110 balls to stand up to the occasion and carry the day.
The three participating nations –Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe- are using the series to prepare for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s Africa Twenty20 world cup to be hosted in Australia between
February 21st and March 8th next year.
