Uganda Has Improved a Lot in the Last Five Years, Says Zambian Coach

Zambia national football team head coach Wedson Nyirenda has applauded Uganda cranes for the great improvement the team has gone through in recent times.

Nyirenda believes the cranes are now a force to reckon with and will continue raising up the ranks.

“I must say Uganda is a great team, abortion they have improved a lot in the past five years because I think there is a good plan in place, information pills ” said Nyirenda.

“They (Uganda) qualified for African cup of Nations and we failed and you realise there has been progress over the years,” he added.

Quizzed about whether Uganda will give them the best shape as they prepare for the game against Cameroon, Nyirenda said the cranes are a good side and thus expects competition.

“I’m happy that Uganda accepted a friendly against us and I believe they will give us the best shape as we prepare for Cameroon,” he said.

Uganda plays against the Chipolopolo in an international friendly game on Tuesday at Mandela national stadium as both sides prepare for world cup qualifiers over the weekend.

Zambia will play against Cameroon in their second game after a 2-1 loss to Nigeria in the opening game while Uganda will be play at home against Congo Brazzaville on Saturday.


The Zambian team had a feel of the Mandela national stadium on Monday evening ahead of the game on Tuesday.
