Zimbabwe vs Uganda
Immaculate Nakisuuyi scored an unbeaten 25 runs off 15 balls as Uganda defeated Kenya by 5 wickets to book a date with Zimbabwe in the Saturday finals.
After posting 89/5 from their first innings, it was visible that Kenya had to field extra ordinarily very well if they were to restrict Uganda from reaching the set target.
But Uganda’s batsmen started to fluff: Saidati Kemigisha (0), Naome Kayondo Bagenda (5), Candiru (7) and Mary Nalule (4).
Ritah Musamali who was pushed up the batting order forged a good combination with Nakisuuyi as the lady Crickets defeated Kenya for the second time.
The Coach thanked his players in Musamali and Nakisuyi who managed to come to the party and perform to the fullest.
Musamali briefly said: “I was successful because I managed to run between the sticks well and I took some good calls.”
Nakisuyi on the other hand said: “I just kept my eyes on the ball and I also timed it.”
On the finals, Nakisuyi added: “We have a great chance, so we are going to give our best so we can take the trophy home.”
Earlier in the day, Namibia beat Tanzania by six wickets to win the fourth place play-off.
