Uganda Cup: Shaban’s Strike Enough As KCCA Edge Kitara To Reach Semis

Stanbic Uganda Cup

Kitara FC 0-1 KCCA FC

Muhammad Shaban’s goal is all what KCCA FC needed to overcome a resilient Kitara FC in the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

KCCA FC defeated Kitara FC 1-0 in the game played on Saturday  at Boma grounds in Hoima to reach the semis.

“It’s been a wonderful perfomance from my boys though the result does not reflect, it’s a result that am going to build on for our next games,” KCCA FC Coach Mike Mutebi noted shortly.

The hosts who had knocked off big teams like Express FC along the way, started the game a better side.

Attacker Roger Raymon Milla asked the KCCA FC  defence questions but the visitors managed to wither through the early storm.

Shaban got onto the score sheet heading in the 10th minute to silence the home crowd.

Kitara had moments to level matters but failed to put them away.

Derrick Tekkwo missed a glorious chance  while Oscar Munihuri had a chance at close range but his effort went wide.

Late in the game, Raymon Milla forced shotstopper Tom Ikara into a save and few minutes later, Timothy Awany headed out to clear his line as the visitors lived on borrowed on time, but they managed to hold on to their lead to storm the semis.
