The 2017/2018 Stanbic Uganda Cup semis and finals are going to be televised live on Buganda Broadcasting Services (BBS) TV.

The development was confirmed on Saturday at BBS’ boardroom during a media briefing.

Charles Ssebbale, the Chief Engineer noted that the company (BBS) has enough and required tools to air the game’s live from all parts of the country, evidenced with some of their recent live broadcast including the ground breaking ceremony at CAA in Entebbe, the ongoing Martyrs day celebrations, Kabaka’s engagements etc.

In the Uganda Cup semis, SC Villa will host League Champions Vipers on Sunday at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku before KCCA FC pay visit to Synergy in Masaka on Monday in the first leg.

About the Uganda Cup:

The Stanbic Uganda Cup is  the second most prestigious competition in Uganda football.

It is played on a knock out basis. This annual competition is open for non league sides, registered clubs playing in all the five football divisions (Div I, II, III,Iv and V) of  the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA)

The Uganda Cup was first held in 1971. The current holders are KCCA FC.

The winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup represents Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Express FC has won the cup most times (10) while Sc villa is on 9 cups.
