Richard Mugume of Kibaare ward said that all health facilities in the municipality do not have ambulances to help during emergencies leading to the loss of lives at a peripheral rate.

He asked government to reinstate construction of health center IIs at parish level and increase the staffing.

Dr. Viola Ninsiima, the in-charge at Bushenyi health center IV admitted the staffing shortfall, adding that most of the workers were overworked.

She added that the facility needs renovation so that the available health services can improve.

The Municipality town clerk, Mr. Deo Ndimo said that the construction of other health centers at the ward level wasn’t tenable since government halted the program. He however promised that the Municipality 5year program would be forwarded to the central organs for discussion.

By the time of filing this report, the Chief Justice designate, Bart Katureebe had just entered the Appointment`s Committee for vetting while Kavuma was waiting in the VIP room.

“Kavuma is now fighting hard to make sure our petition is not heard until the Parliament exercise is through,” Karuhanga added.

He said he will liaise with anti-corruption bodies to device effective ways to rein in officers bent on perpetrating the vice.

“The NPS is working under a completely different environment with different circumstances. You must therefore change your mind set because the police is no longer a force but a service under the Inspector General,” Mr Boinett warned.
The draws of this year’s Uganda Cup at the round of 16 have been conducted today at Fufa House Mengo.

The dates are not yet decided by competition director Ali Mwebe said dates will be announced as early as next week.
