Uganda Cranes have maintained their 77th position in the latest World Rankings released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Thursday.
The Cranes have remained on their point accumulation of 1321, the same total they had for the previous rankings which were released in March.
The stagnation in the Uganda Cranes World rankings can be justified by the fact that their has not been any action since March 18th when the lockdown was instituted and sports activities postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The countries are ranked basing on their game results with the most successful teams being ranked highest.
On the African continent, Uganda is ranked 15th with Senegal (20th), Tunisia (26th) and Nigeria (29th) claiming the top three spots.
The Next FIFA Rankings will be released in on October 22, 2020.
Earlier this month, CAF confirmed that the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers will resume on November 9th-17th 2020, with Uganda facing South Sudan in a two-legged affair.
The World Cup Qualifiers match-day one games will be played between May 31st to June 15th next year while the CHAN tournament is scheduled for January 16th to February 7th, 2021 in Cameroon.
