Uganda Cranes Shoot Blanks Against Turkmenistan In Test Match

Uganda Cranes failed to score a goal as they played to an uninspiring goalless draw against a lowly-rated Turkmenistan in a build-up match on Sunday in Abu Dhabi.

The Cranes are prepping up for the Africa Cup of Nations coming up later this month in Egypt.

Coach Sebastian Desabre made some changes on his squad starting Robert Odongkara in goal ahead of team captain Denis Onyango.

Timothy Awany, Tadeo Lwanga, Bevis Mugabi, Abdu lumala and Allan Kyambadde all started the game.

Later on Kyambadde paved way for Emmanuel Okwi, Patric Kaddu out for Alexis Bakka, Lumala and Mugabi made way Ochaya and Wadada as the little-known Asian side proved a hard nut to crack.

The coach is expected to make his final squad of 23 on Monday 10th June.The team will play another build up match against Ivory Coast later this week.
