Uganda Cranes has dropped by three slots according to the latest rankings released on Friday by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).
The drop comes at the back of a 1-0 defeat to the Bright Stars of South Sudan in the last 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier duel played at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
Uganda Cranes have dropped from the 76th place (November rankings) to 79th, with a total of 1321 points.
Uganda’s AFCON qualifiers group B opponents Burkina Faso and Malawi are unmoved, positioned 52nd and 123rd respectively while South Sudan have improved by 5 slots to 163rd.
Senegal maintains its dominance on top of the chart (Africa) ahead of Tunisia, AFCON holders Algeria, Nigeria, and Morocco who follow in the descending order.
Belgium tops the world rankings followed by World Cup holders France as Brazil, England and Portugal complete the top five positions.
