
Uganda’s total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 522 today Thursday after 15 new cases were confirmed.
The Ministry of Health has announced that 15 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed from samples tested on Wednesday.
“Results from samples tested on 03 June 2020 confirm 15 new COVID-19 cases. The total confirmed cases are now 522,” the Health Ministry announced on Thursday morning.
Of the new cases, 4 are truck drivers who arrived from Tanzania via Mutukula, 2 are truck drivers from Busia while 9 are alerts and contacts to previously confirmed cases.
The Ministry also announced that out of the 9 cases of alerts and contacts to previously confirmed cases, 3 are from Amuru district, 1 from Buikwe, 2 from Kyotera, 1 from Nakaseke, 1 from Lira and 1 from Kampala.
Additionally, 33 positive foreign truck drivers were handed to their countries of origin.
Currently, Uganda has a total of 522 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 82 recoveries, and no fatalities.
