UG Mix Maestro in 2nd Last Regional DJ Battle

Anyone knows the DJ is the life of any party. So can the best DJ in Jinja please stand up?

The UG Mix Maestro has shown you the best Male and Female DJ’s in Arua, Mbarara and Fort Portal, and the battle is now going to the source of the Nile, Jinja town. This weekend’s competition will be held at Trans Africa on Saturday night. Gates open as early as 7:00PM.

Crystal Twebaze, one of the event organisers says that  “Under the ongoing UG Mix Maestro campaign, Uganda Waragi is providing a platform to recognize and celebrate the unique talent that deejays have to offer.”

Twebaze added that “The UG Mix Maestro will set a foundation to professionalize the Ugandan DJ industry and celebrate and honor DJ’s contribution to Uganda’s music industry.”

The regionals have featured DJ battles by the best DJ talent within the region.

Entry into the competition is open to all and completely free.

For the audience, there are also several prizes  up for grabs courtesy of Uganda Waragi, in addition to cheering on your favorite DJ.

The best Female/Male DJs from all the 5 regional competitions will then tussle it at the finale which will be held at Golf Course Hotel on 6th October.


The grand prize up for grabs is a DJ set worth $1,500 and Shs1 million.

Other award categories include;

Best (Radio, TV, Events, Night life & Gospel DJ of the year.

These will receive an accolade and Shs1 million each. Some of the DJs nominated for the awards include; DJs Slick Stuart, Roja, Nimrod, Ali Breezy, Beats, Selector Jay, to mention but a few.
