University Football League
Quarterfinals, First Leg
Kampala University 3-0 UCU

Kampala University handed Uganda Christian University a baptism of fire in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the 2018 University Football League.

Two time winners Kampala University were in scintillating mode on Thursday to earn a convincing win and get advantage in the tie.

Not even an afternoon downpour at Mandela National stadium(outside pitch) stopped the Ggaba based institute from getting a deserved victory.

Brian Omirambe, Richard Tumusiime and Ivan Mayanja scored a goal apiece to guide Kampala University to a 3-0 win.

Omirambe opened the scores in the 39th minute before Tumusiime doubled the lead at the stoke of halftime.

This gave Titi Camara’s charges momentum and confidence despite efforts from UCU in the second stanza.
