UBL held its innovative competition that rallied several young innovators participate with over 5 teams battling in the competition which later sieved through to only 2 teams that won big.
The three day event held from December 10 to 12 saw the participants walk home with lots of goodies included cash among others.
The winning team ‘The Local,’ according to the organizers and mentors, emerged with the most creative idea and bagged Shs 10,000,000 and a six-month mentorship with UBL.
The organizers also revealed that the Local’s project is going to be funded and executed.
Dubbed, ‘The Creative Hackathon,’ the competitive challenge brought together young innovators and creative thinkers to collaborate and come up with unique e-commerce solutions for a fast-paced business industry.
The ‘hackathon’ was held in partnership with House of DJ’s with the aim of addressing the need for e-commerce solutions accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
