Two people have Tuesday morning died in a fatal accident that happened in Mabira forest along Kampala – Jinja road.
This accident happened at a black spot in a place called Kinoni at around 4am.
It involved two vehicles, a numberless Harrier which was heading to one of Kampala motor bonds and a Kenyan truck registration number KCX 177B which was carrying tomatoes.
According to Sezibwa police spokesperson Hellen Butoto, “the accident was caused by reckless driving of the unit driver.”
She said the driver of the numberless Harrier was trying to overtake another vehicle when he collided with the truck that was carrying Tomatoes.
The driver of the harrier and another occupant died on spot.
Butoto identified the deceased as Sharif Musenero a resident of Iganga and a lady called Samali Nakakande.
Their bodies have been taken to Kawolo hospital for postmoterm.
The truck driver has also been identified as Johnstone Kingori who is also admitted at the same health facility with severe injuries.
