Two New Deaths Bring Uganda’s Covid19 Toll to 15

Uganda’s Ministry of Health has confirmed two more Covid19 deaths, which brings the country’s tally to 15 so far.

The Ministry said in a statement that the 2 were both Ugandan males aged 63 and 33 years old.

“They were admitted at Rubaga Hospital with signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19,” said Dr Henry Mwebesa the Ministry Director General Health Services.

Meanwhile a total of 60 new cases have been confirmed from samples tested yesterday.

Of the sixty (60) new cases, twenty-eight (28) are alerts, fourteen (14) are contacts to previously confirmed cases, fourteen (14) are returnees and four (4) are truck drivers,” Mwebesa said.

“Regarding the twenty-eight (28) alerts, fifteen (15) are from Kampala, five (5) from Namisindwa, two (2) from Luwero and six (6) from Moroto, Arua, Gulu, Pader, Katakwi and Kasese
