Kampala police on Monday retrieved two bodies of male adults who fell and died in a soak pit at Katooke Zone A, Nabweru Sub county, Wakiso district.
According to Police, they received information from a one Luyima Herbert, who is the information and publicity secretary of Katooke about the incident.
In a statement by SP Patrick Onyango, the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson said Luyima informed Police that two sons of a resident called Kalule Sulaiman had fallen in a sock pit at the home of a one Kasule .
“A team of Scene of Crime Officers, Detectives, Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the area and two bodies were retrieved,” Onyango said
The deceased were identified as Frank Kavuma aged 19 years, and Mark Mulangira aged 23years
Its alleged that one of the deceased lost a key and it dropped in the pit of about 30 feet.
He fell inside as he attempted to recover it. His brother also fell in the pit as he attempted to rescue him.
The bodies were taken to Mulago City Mortuary for post mortem.
The shock led to collapse of the deceased’s parents and were admitted at Victoria clinic located at Katooke A zone.
