After gaining automatic promotion to the Uganda Premier League, Bombo based side Uganda People’s Defense Force Football Club (UPDF FC) has now embarked on strengthening their squad ahead of next season.
The Armyside has reportedly agreed to add striker John Semazzi to their armoury, joining the club on a two-year contract.
He signs for UPDF from Tooro United where he featured last Season before the club was relegated to the FUFA Big League.
Semazzi has previously featured for Six-time UPL winners Express FC, UPL reigning champions Vipers SC and the Rwandan Premier League side Espoir FC.
He becomes the latest acquisition made by the club after former Proline quartet of Simon Mbaziira, Ronnie Kisekka, Gadaffi Gadinho, Ibrahim Wammanah and James Begesa.
In addition, Goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo and defender Andrew Waiswa renewed their respective employment contracts with the club for two more years.
The club also announced Kefa Kisala as their new Coach for next season replacing Steven Bogere.
