Express Football Club has again raided Big League side Tooro United FC and netted another big fish in Dennis Mubuya Mugerwa.
The right back joins the Six time Uganda Premier League Champions on a two-year contract, becoming the 13th recruit at Wankulukuku.
“I am glad to finally join this big club, as a defender I know it’s important that me and my colleagues (teammates) will work as a unit to get results,” Mugerwa told Express website.
Mugerwa joined Tooro United in 2019 from another FUFA Big League club Water FC.
While at Tooro United, he managed to grab only two assists in Seven games last season before the Fortportal based club was relegated to the second division due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
He is the latest player from Tooro United to join Express FC after Faisal Ssekyanzi, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Godfrey Lwesibawa, John Byamukama, Charles Musiige and Crispus Kusiima.
Denis Mubuya becomes Wasswa Bossa’s 13th signing ahead of the upcoming 2020/2021 season and joins goalkeepers Denis Otim and Cryspus Kusiima, defender Richard Bbosa, midfielders Isaac Nsengiyunva, Eturude, Lwesibawa, Kayiwa, Kakooza, Baker Sakah, Faisal Ssekyanzi, plus forwards Musiige and Kiragga Mustafa, as the other signings.
The “Mukwano Gw’abangi” are also reported to have finalized talks with Catida FC forward Ivan Mayanja, Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Jjuuko, Enoch Walusimbi, among others.
