Uganda Premier League defending champions KCCA Football Club are close to signing midfielder Bright Anukani and winger Pius Obuya, ChimpReports understands.
According to reliable sources close to the club, KCCA is plotting to sign the duo, considered to be the perfect replacement for Allan Okello who left the club for Algeria’s Paradou.
The signing of Proline’s hot cake Anukani and Maroons’ Obuya will definitely strengthen the team’s attacking force if and when completed.
Reports suggest that the duo has already agreed on contractual obligations with the Lugogo based outfit and only await for the official announcement to be made when the transfer window is opened.
As striker Erisa Sekisambu is running out of contract with the Kasassiro Boys and Simon Serunkuma performing below average, Anukani and Obuya could up come in as the new Frontline.
KCCA FC is currently second on the log with 50 points, four below table leaders Vipers Sports Club.
Mike Mutebi charges have only managed to win only 15 games out of the 25 played this season, drawing five and losing five times in the process.
In case Anukani and Obuya deals go through, they will serve competition to Sadat Anaku, Mike Mutyaba, Muzamir Mutyaba, Sserunkuma and Sekisambu who play in the same position.
