The state Minster for trade and Cooperatives Hon. Michael Werike has applauded the rate at which Ugandans are embracing online trade.
Werike advised all businessmen to turn to this new form of trade that is less costly compared to physical outlets which involve rental and maintenance charges.
While launching Nikkyo Company limited at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala,Werike urged all businessmen carrying out online businesses to consider protective measures that will protect their clients against unscurplous people and companies.
“We thank the Japanese investors for having chosen Uganda in Africa as the country where distributors from neighbouring countries will be getting directly imported cars from Japan. “
He added that with online trade, customers have enough time to browse through a wide range of products before making up their decision.
Leon Sera the founder of Nikkyo Tokyo also appreciated the government of Uganda for having created a conducive environment which has enabled investors to carry out their duties without any interference.
“Being that we were the first website to start selling vehicles, with partners from over 75 countries, we are proud to associate with our Ugandan partners.”
