Experienced defender Yakubu Ramadhan has completed his move to the Uganda Premier League newcomers Malabba Youth Development Association Football Club (MYDA FC).
Ramadhan joins MYDA FC on a two-year contract deal from Zambia Premier League club Lusaka Dynamos.
The robust solid center back makes a U-turn to the Uganda Premier League having played for record Champions Sports Club Villa and Bright Stars.
“I am really happy to be back home and happy to sign for the new entrants in the league and I am going to do all that it takes that we maintain our team in the league and display a good game in this new season of UPL, I am glad to be here,” Yakubu told the club media.
He also played for Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards before crossing boarders and join Lusaka Dynamos.
He becomes the third addition to the club after former Express player Isaac Doka Mweru and left back Waiswa Kasongo.
MYDA FC is one of the two confirmed teams that directly qualified to the top flight League in their maiden FUFA Big League debut last season.
They finished on top of the Elgon group with 21 points after 11 games when the league was canceled by FUFA due to Covid-19 pandemic and will play against UPDF FC to determine the 2019-2020 FUFA Big League winner.
