As preparations for the biggest stlye,culture, fashion and arts event dubbed ‘Uganda International Fashion Week’ 6th edition take shape in high gear,the participants were subjected to Model casting on July 20 at Arapapa offices in Village Mall, Bugolobi.
The audition that attracted beauties from Kenya,Uganda,South Sudan and Burundi, was aimed at selecting the best models who will be showcasing different designer clothes as well as determining whether they have the right look and feel for the event come August.
The judges,who included celebrated international model Vanquisha, city stylist and designer Solomon Tazibone, Julie Epenu and Fashion designer Paula Butagira involved participants in lengthy interactive talks.
Over 90 models who turned up for the auditions, were asked to catwalk among other activities which would impress the judges to choose the outstanding models set to rock the runway.
Those who were selected are expected to attend the master class and rehearsals at a fee of Shs10,000 ahead of the D-day.
The 3-day high level event which will be happening in August 2 to 4th at Serena Hotel, will see top models including among others Uganda’s Fatumah Asha, France based Stella Atal, Paula Butagira engage in many activities including business training, art exhibitions and modeling among others.
