Having lost a crop of players from their last season’s squad, FUFA Big League outfit Tooro United Football Club has now embarked on an intense player recruitment process as the 2020/21 season nears.
The Fortportal based club has bolstered their goalkeeping department by signing well built towering custodian Ronald Waiswa.
Waiswa joins Tooro United on a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of 2022/2023 season.
He has not been anywhere in the football circles and joining Tooro United will give him his maiden experience in professional football switching gears from basketball.
“We have scouted well and been patient in the selection exercise of the players. We want a competitive side that has a blend of young and experienced players ready to fight for the club,” said Coach Edward Golola during the player’s unveiling.
Golola further expects Tooro United to be very competitive with a major objective of returning to the Uganda Premier League.
Next season, Golola will be assisted by Simon Ddungu while Moses Oloya will be the goalkeeping coach.
Jamada Magaasi will assume the fitness coach role and Fred Kasendeke as the junior team head coach.
