Tooro Kingdom has offered 500 university bursaries to students hailing from the Kingdom for the academic year 2015/2016.
The move is intended to further promote and uplift education standards in the Kingdom.

Addressing a press conference at his office at Mucwa Palace, viagra dosage the Premier said that King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV was looking forward to promoting education and taking it as priority.
He said, “The bursaries are given to students qualifying to study at Uganda Pentecostal University, Mountains of the Moon University, Uganda martyrs’ University, Fort Portal Branch and other institutions of higher learning in Kabarole District.”
However, Kaliba said the bursaries are only targeting students offering business or science courses or Masters’ degrees adding that the bursary covers the entire course.
He also said, “Plans to open Tooro Royal University of Science and Technology are under way for this year, 2015. It will open after getting accreditation by the National Council for Higher Education.”
Kaliba added, “This University will be promoting science studies and will be located at Mucwa Kingdom headquarters. It would operate under the Queen Mother Best Foundation which started last year after being launched by President Museveni”.
