By close of the two-day nomination exercise of Members Parliament countrywide yesterday , three people from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) were declared MPs having been unopposed.
These include Gyaviira Ssemwanga, 35, who is now the new MP for Buyamba county in Rakai district
He became the NRM flag bearer after defeating Amos Mandela the incumbent in the recently concluded Party primaries, and by close of the nomination exercise on Friday no one else had expressed interest to contest for the same sit.
In the same vein Pius Wakabi and Dr Emilly Kugonza were nominated, declared unopposed for Bughaya and Buyanja East Constituencies respectively.
Buyanja is one of the nine consistencies which were approved by Cabinet in June this year.
