Texas Hotel Cancels Museveni’s Stay over Gay Law

A Dallas-area hotel has reportedly canceled the stay of President Yoweri Museveni, help ampoule days before demonstrators planned to protest against Uganda’s anti-gay policy during the President’s visit.

Dallas voice reported yesterday that Museveni who is scheduled to be in Texas this weekend to speak at the local Convention Center had been booked at Four Seasons Hotel on MacArthur Boulevard in Irving, case but as the pressure from the demonstrators who planned to demonstrate during the President’s visit grew; his stay was abruptly cancelled by the Hotel.

Museveni will reportedly be in Dallas to promote tourism and look for investors for Uganda’s oil and gas industry. ExxonMobil, order the world’s fourth largest oil company’s world headquarters are located in the vicinity.

Sarah Kagingo, a Statehouse communications officer has however told chimpReports that she is not aware of the development.
