Ten Matches to Kick Off 2016/17 Big League Season

After a long preseason of guessing and uncertainty, doctor finally Fufa competitions committee has confirmed that the country’s second division, what is ed the Fufa Big League 2016-17 season will kick off on Thursday 15th September with ten games on the cards.

Relegated sides Maroons FC and Simba FC begin campaign with tricky fixtures on the road to other promotion favorites Paidha Black Angels and Busia Fisheries respectively.

Lira side Sporting United that lost playoffs finals to Proline FC also make an away trip to new entrants Moroto United while Ndejje University head to Kamuli to pay Kamuli Park a visit.

Dove All Stars from Arua begin their campaign against Kyambogo FC as Kataka FC host Nyamityobora FC at the Mbale Municipal stadium.

Mbarara City FC host Entebbe FC while Airtel Kitara make their first trip to Kampala against Baza Holdings.

Two teams that finish on the summit of each group; Elgon and Rwenzori will make it direct to the topflight while the two runners ups qualify for playoffs.

The bottom four from the groups are relegated to their respective regional leagues. Eight teams from the eight gain promotion to the second tier.
