Ugandans who will attend the Taxpayers’ Appreciation Week organized by Uganda Revenue Authority in partnership with the Ministry of ICT and National guidance will be greatly facilitated.
Some of the offers that have been promised include; free legal services, financial services and free verification of land titles.
On the medical side, there will be free yellow fever vaccination which is mandatory to any Ugandan wishing to travel outside Uganda.
The event is scheduled for September 27-29, 2017 at Kololo Independence Grounds starting 8: ooam-5:00pm daily.
According to URA, the event is aimed at providing Ugandans with information on how tax revenue is used as well as offering a platform for taxpayers to engage government officials.
You will also have an opportunity to appreciate the impact of your taxes to society, the Authority says.
To show appreciation to top complicate taxpayers, URA has invited over 100 companies who excelled in revenue contribution and compliance in 2016/2017 to exhibit their business for free.
Companies producing under the Buy Uganda Build Uganda (BUBU) initiative will be allowed to show case their services and goods for free.
The proposed guest of honor is President Yoweri Museveni.
Every year, URA recognizes outstanding tax payers as a way of encouraging compliance with tax payment among Ugandans.
