Tarrus Riley Excites Fans with Bobi Wine’s ‘People Power’ Slogan at Concert

Jamaican artist Tarrus Riley who was the main act at the All-Star Concert last evening at Lugogo Cricket Oval excited Ugandans when he chanted the slogan ‘people power’ that is associated with Bobi Wine.

The Rastafarian who took over the stage immediately after Bebe Cool had been rejected and chased off by Bobi Wine enthusiasts, opened with the popular chant.

“People power,” he shouted to which the crowd roared back, “Our Power.”

This is a slogan that was introduced by the Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine during his campaign that has gone on to become popular among Ugandans especially the youth.

“Power belongs to the people, people power,” chanted the ‘Sorry is a sorry word’ singer while raising his hand in a fist.

It was mostly artists who talked about Bobi Wine and spoke the words ‘People Power’ that received the biggest applause from the audience.
